More than two-thirds of people who smoke wish they didn't. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report found that that in 2010, 69 percent of adult smokers wished to quit; of those, only 6.2 percent succeeded, and most smokers did not utilize advice, counseling, or other assistance to help them quit.
