Instead it would be listed in a third section of the manual (following the introduction and the main text listing disorders) for proposed diagnostic criteria requiring “further study." The alert neglected to indicate that all proposed changes to the next edition of the *Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5)* are still under review and that all decisions by the *DSM-5* Task Force and work groups must be approved by the APA Board of Trustees before becoming final.
